🌱 Sustainovation: Cultivating Hope Through Backyard Farming
By Ebed Paul, President of MENH
🌍 A Vision Rooted in Resilience
Today, I’m writing to share something deeply personal and profoundly important—an initiative that holds the power to reshape lives and reimagine Haiti’s future.
As an alumnus of Collège Évangélique Emmanuel (CEE), I’ve walked the same halls as many of today’s students. I’ve witnessed their resilience, brilliance, and untapped potential—especially in times of hardship.
It’s in this spirit of hope that we introduce Sustainovation.

🌿 What is Sustainovation?
Sustainovation is more than a program. It’s a movement.
We are equipping 150 students at CEE with sustainable living skills through hands-on backyard farming. These young leaders will learn to:
✅ Grow vegetables
✅ Raise chickens
✅ Cultivate food responsibly
But this is more than farming—it’s about self-reliance, community empowerment, and ecological awareness.

🌟 Why It Matters
In Haiti’s current landscape, food security, environmental care, and youth opportunity are urgent needs. Sustainovation addresses all three.
When a student learns to grow their own food, they gain:
- Confidence
- Practical skills
- A sense of contribution to their community
Each garden bed and chicken coop becomes a classroom of transformation.

🤝 You Can Plant the Seeds
To bring Sustainovation to life, we need partners like you.
For just $25 per student, you can help provide:
- Farming tools and supplies
- Seeds and starter plants
- Expert instruction and mentorship
Every dollar is a seed that grows knowledge, dignity, and a more self-sustaining Haiti.
